My name is Ugo Okoro Maduka, and I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Imo State University, Owerri, Nigeria. In addition, I have received several certifications from renowned professional bodies around the world. I consider myself to be an intellectual, creative, and spiritual gentleman with multiple talents and skills. I strongly believe that everyone on Earth has a purpose, and discovering it is crucial to our existence. As such, I am passionate about helping individuals find, explore, and fulfill their purpose for their well-being. I am a father, educator, researcher, model, writer, actor, realtor, highly sought-after motivational speaker, and published author. My book, "Mount Up Your Wings," is available on Amazon. I was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, and later immigrated to the United States, where I currently reside in Los Angeles, California. My success story is a result of a high sense of purpose, a determination to learn, and a deep conviction to become the best version of myself. One of the most valuable lessons I have learned is the power of will, self-belief, and the ability to overcome obstacles through perseverance and hard work. I am a firm believer that you can be anything you set your mind to. For instance, I dreamed of living in one of the cities of Los Angeles, New York, or Atlanta since I was ten years old. Today, living in Los Angeles is not only a dream come true, but it is also a confirmation of the saying that when you set your heart firmly on a vision, the universe and all the forces of nature conspire with you and every person necessary to make that dream a reality.
Throughout my professional journey, I have worked in various industries, including education, real estate, and entertainment. I have also held leadership positions in different organizations, which have helped me develop my skills in communication, team building, and problem-solving. I have been privileged to work on the same production set and attend some exclusive events with some of the biggest names in Hollywood and the political circle. My most recent appearance was as a main cast member on BET's popular TV show, "After Happily Ever After." Through my work, I am committed to helping individuals and organizations achieve their goals by providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed. I strongly believe that with the right mindset, dedication, and hard work, anything is possible.
My passion for helping others discover their purpose and achieve their goals stems from my belief that we can all make a positive impact in the world. I am currently planning to establish a Leadership Training Institute in the near future to groom and shape the minds of young men and women with a high sense of purpose. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, and spending time with my family. I am also an avid traveler, and these hobbies have enriched my life and broadened my perspective significantly.
What were the biggest initial hurdles you faced and how did you overcome them?
I have always held the belief that one of the most significant lessons I've learned in life is the importance of willpower, self-belief, and the ability to overcome obstacles through perseverance and hard work. I firmly believe that having the right mindset, dedication, and hard work can make anything possible.
If someone were to come to me for advice during a tough time, I would suggest that it's crucial to remember that it's not the end. I believe that challenges and problems are a part of life, and instead of trying to outgrow them, we should learn how to fight. By adopting this approach, we can learn from our experiences and become stronger and better equipped to handle future challenges.
What advice do you have for young people locally and internationally who are just starting out in their careers or pursuing their passions?
Remember that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of hope. So, hold strong to your dreams and convictions, and trust that the universe will come through for you in due time. It's important to understand that life is full of ups and downs, and we all go through difficult moments.
But it's during those tough times that we learn the most and grow the most as individuals. So, if you're currently experiencing a difficult moment, don't give up hope. Instead, keep pushing forward and stay focused on your goals.
Remember that the Universe has a way of working things out, even when we can't see it at the moment. So, keep the faith, stay positive, and believe that everything will work out for the best. And when you come out of the other side of this experience, you'll be stronger, wiser, and better prepared to face whatever challenges come your way in the future.
