Updated: Nov 20, 2023

Professional Boxer | Entrepreneur | Philanthropist

Seth Gyimah, a Ghana-born British boxer, philanthropist and an entrepreneur, has defied odds in his inspiring journey from a mason in Ghana to a rising professional boxer in the UK. At 33, with only two professional fights under his belt, Gyimah's star is on the rise, drawing comparisons to boxing legend Mike Tyson.

His path began at the Krobea Asante Technical Vocational Institute in Ghana, where he worked in construction during vacations, facing challenges due to his skinny build. Relocating to the UK, Gyimah initially worked as a kitchen porter, eventually transitioning to a chef after showcasing his skills during a chef's absence.

It took him eleven years to break into professional boxing, marked by a victorious debut against Christopher Wood. Despite skepticism during his amateur days, Gyimah persevered, fueled by his passion for boxing.

A viral video in 2021, depicting Gyimah knocking out a larger opponent, drew comparisons to Mike Tyson, but Gyimah humbly acknowledges the boxing legend while staying true to his individuality.

Despite not clinching a World title, Gyimah's journey reflects resilience, seizing global attention and illustrating that, with dedication, hard work, and perseverance, anything is possible on the path to success.
