I am a pop singer and songwriter and known for my explosive anthems and utterly infectious songwriting.
My most recent anthem is the hit single "Kings & Queens", which impressively went platinum in twelve different
countries. It also reached No.1 on U.S. Pop iTunes and became my first No. 1 on the U.S. Airplay Charts! This
success isn’t just a coincidence. I have proven myself over and over again ever since the age of 17
when my first debuted my writing skills on a record that went straight to No. 1 in Japan ("One In A Million" by
Yamashita Tomohisha), penned the Spanish hit "Who's Loving You" by Auryn ft Anastacia, and I wrote and recorded
"Anyway" (by Tyron Hapi ft. Mimoza), which went platinum in Australia.
After years of writing hits for other artists and receiving gold and platinum plaques, I am ready to focus
further on my solo music. In 2017, I released my debut single "Big Girls Cry".
I am based in Los Angeles, as a multi-talented artist. I call many places my home. Born in Kosovo, my
family fled the war-torn country to Sweden as refugees to seek asylum. I spent her teenage years
in Germany and started writing songs at the age of 12. Despite growing up in Sweden and Germany and now living
in the United States, I never forgot my roots. "I'm so proud of Dua Lipa, Bebe Rexha, Rita Ora and Ava Max,
they're all Albanian pop queens." Ladies and gentlemen, Mimoza is next.
I returned with “Young Queen” - a personal record written as a love letter to my home country, Kosovo, and
my Albanian roots. Paying tribute to my mother and all moms who raise their daughters to see themselves as
‘young queens,’ the song oozes with passion and determination. My mom raised me with incredible
values that have helped me walk through life with my head held high. The empowering song is about pride,
self-love, and a celebration of knowing who you are and loving yourself unconditionally. I believe
that when you know who you are and where you came from, you can never get lost in life.
I've poured all of myself into this record and I want girls to see themselves as young queens and know their worth.
If they are a little happier after listening to this or even a bit more confident, then I've done my job as an artist. Passion is infectious.
I creates vibrant and intoxicating bangers, aiming for the next pop crown. I am armed with an
unapologetic love for rich pop music and a fiery attitude. And I am relentlessly forging my own path and not
looking back.
What were the biggest initial hurdles and how did you overcome them?
Proving people wrong. And honing my own sound has been so rewarding. What do you know today that you wish you would have known when you first got started? That everything would come together. When you start out you don’t know the right people nor have the right songs but it all comes together in the end. What advice would you give to an upcoming youth or talents locally and internationally? Be your authentic self. It always pays off. Trying to be someone you’re not is a waste of your time. Life is short so be your authentic self & be proud of who you are.
