At just 24 years old, she's already making waves as the founder of the Mawuena Datsa Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to spreading kindness and healing through charitable initiatives across Accra. Born on May 27th, Mawuena embodies her name's meaning, "God's gift," believing it shapes her purpose to impact lives positively. Her journey to prominence began at Holy Child School in Cape Coast and culminated in a Bachelor of Laws from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Currently serving with Ghana's Judicial Service at Adenta High Court, Mawuena is also carving a path as a distinguished lawyer, public speaker, and writer.
Passionate about leaving a lasting mark on the world, Mawuena draws inspiration from Beyoncé's anthem "I Was Here," reminding her to live with love and purpose. Values like loyalty, transparency, and integrity define her character and guide her actions. Despite initial challenges—like a year-long gap after secondary school—Mawuena turned adversity into opportunity. Her stint at Safety Insurance Brokers as a travel insurance salesperson not only introduced her to corporate life but also clarified her career aspirations. Reflecting on that pivotal gap year, Mawuena cherishes the time it afforded her to align her passions with her education and career goals.
