Kumba Tamba is not just a name but a force of nature, blazing a trail in youth and women activism. With a passion for mentorship, skill training, and support for the underprivileged, she founded 'The Better Me Initiative,' showcasing her unwavering commitment to youth development. Kumba’s mission is clear: to drive positive change on a global scale through advocacy for inclusivity and respect for human rights. She lives to serve, using her voice as a powerful tool for equality and fairness. Kumba's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, with a minor in Hospitality, from the University of Cape Coast in 2019. Her studies ignited a zeal for customer service management, and she has since dedicated herself to ensuring client satisfaction in various organizations. As a tourism enthusiast, her knowledge from a master’s degree in International Studies fuels her drive to enhance Ghana’s image by promoting locally made goods and sharing captivating stories about the country's unique tourism potential.
Kumba's leadership prowess is nothing short of impressive. During her undergraduate years, she wore many hats: General Secretary for the Students Representative Council (SRC), Treasurer of the Hospitality and Tourism Students Association, and National Editor-in-Chief of the Campus Fila Magazine. She also served on the University Sexual Harassment Committee, showcasing her commitment to creating a safe and equitable environment for all students.
Her influence extended beyond the university. Kumba served as the Ghana Country Representative for the Pan African Female Youth Leaders for two terms and contributed as Editor for the Federation of African Law Students, Ghana Chapter. Currently, she holds the position of Director of Policy and Advocacy for the “A Lady with A Dream” (ALWAD) Network, championing the causes she holds dear with charisma and professionalism.
In 2018, Kumba channeled her skills and passion into founding K’n’M Events, a company specializing in event management, protocol services, and consultancy. As a master of ceremonies, she ensures every corporate event is memorable and engaging, leveraging her dynamic speaking abilities.
But Kumba's aspirations don’t stop there. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws at her alma mater, the University of Cape Coast, with dreams of becoming a legal counsel. Her dedication to creating positive change and championing youth development continues to shape lives for the better.
