Kamene Goro's journey through the media industry is a testament to her resilience, talent, and unwavering dedication to her craft. From her early beginnings as a paralegal to becoming a renowned news anchor, presenter, and social media influencer, Kamene has left an indelible mark on the Kenyan media landscape. Born in 1992, in Nairobi's South C estate, Kamene grew up in a household filled with ambition and determination. Her father, a top structural engineer, and her mother, a respected figure at Kenya Film School, instilled in her the values of hard work and excellence from a young age. As the middle child among her siblings, Kamene learned the importance of perseverance and resilience in the pursuit of her dreams.
After completing her primary and secondary education at Rusinga International School, Kamene initially harbored aspirations of pursuing a career in media. However, at the insistence of her parents, she enrolled in the prestigious University of Nairobi to study Law. Despite her initial reluctance, Kamene excelled in her studies and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Law, thanks to the support of scholarships and her family's encouragement.
Following her graduation, Kamene embarked on a brief stint in legal practice at Simani & Co Advocates. However, her career path took a pivotal turn when she joined Ebru TV as a news anchor and presenter. Despite facing initial challenges during her screen test, Kamene seized the opportunity to prove herself, eventually becoming one of the youngest news anchors on TV at just 21 years old.
During her nine-year tenure at Ebru TV, Kamene showcased her versatility and talent as both a news anchor and host of talk shows. Her captivating presence and insightful commentary endeared her to audiences across Kenya. In 2017, Kamene ventured into radio, joining NRG Radio as a presenter. Within eight months, her talent and charisma earned her a promotion to the role of breakfast show host.
Throughout her career, Kamene has received recognition and awards for her outstanding contributions to the media industry. Her journey serves as an inspiration to aspiring journalists and media professionals, demonstrating the power of perseverance, passion, and authenticity in achieving success.
