Edinam Adjei-Sika (MCIPR) is a dynamic, bilingual communication wizard with over a decade of experience in the art of crafting compelling messages, building brand awareness, and boosting organizational reputation. She's a pro at stakeholder engagement, government relations, media management, and using digital tech to communicate effectively and build brands. But Edinam's journey didn't start with press releases or journalism classes; it began with numbers, graphs, and equations in economics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She then flew to Tuskegee University, Alabama, to master resource economics. Her adventure took a fascinating turn when she became the Head of International Cooperation at the Brazilian Embassy in Ghana. Here, she became the go-between for the governments of Ghana and Brazil, focusing on technical, scientific, and educational cooperation. Edinam's passion for government relations and diplomatic communication blossomed as she orchestrated the selection process for over 200 scholarships for deserving Ghanaian students to study in Brazil.
Today, Edinam is rocking the communication world at a top international construction company in Ghana. She excels at strategic internal communication, boosting employee engagement, and maintaining strong external relations with government agencies, NGOs, traditional leaders, industry working groups, and the media. She also leads community engagement activities and oversees corporate social responsibility projects.
Her unconventional path has armed her with a diverse skill set and a unique perspective on effective communication strategies. But that's not all! Edinam is also an entrepreneurial powerhouse. As the founder of Bumps N US Maternity, she's the brand director responsible for positioning the company as the ultimate go-to for maternity and postpartum clothing and essentials in Ghana.
To further enhance the bond between Brazil and Ghana, Edinam founded and now presides over the Brazil Ghana Chamber of Commerce. This private voluntary association promotes and strengthens bilateral relationships through culture, trade, and investment. She's also a fellow of the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative, where she earned a certificate in general business management and administration.
In 2021, Edinam's incredible work was recognized with the National Communications Awards' Industry Spotlight of the Year award. She's an accredited member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and Women in PR Ghana, where she coordinates programs and events.
Beyond her professional life, Edinam is a fierce advocate for women's empowerment, dedicating her time to mentoring young girls on education, entrepreneurship, and self-love.
