Meet Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, better known as Mzbel, a prominent Ghanaian Hiplife artist, entrepreneur, and advocate for people with disabilities. Born on December 26, 1979, in Accra, Mzbel has left an indelible mark in the Ghanaian music scene and beyond. Growing up in the vibrant neighborhood of James Town, Mzbel attended God Wisdom Preparatory School before moving on to Korle Gonno 1 and Owusu Mills' JHS in Mamprobi for her Junior High School education. Her academic journey continued at Abuakwa State College, where she majored in Economics, Geography, and French. Despite facing financial constraints, Mzbel's determination led her to the Ghana Institute of Languages, where she trained as a bilingual secretary.
Mzbel's foray into the world of music was unexpected. After various roles in radio and TV, including at GBC Radio 1 and Metro TV, her path shifted when she worked at Hush Hush Studios. Singing along with studio technicians, Mzbel discovered her musical talent. Her part-time gig turned into a full-time passion, leading her to release her debut
album, "Awosome," in 2004.
Her breakout album, "16 Years," followed in 2005, featuring her unique style and controversial lyrics. Beyond her music career, Mzbel wears multiple hats as the CEO of Mzbel Music, Bel Group, Bel Eye Media, and other ventures.
