With over 25 years of experience, Anne Sackey is a notable figure in the marketing and communications industry, recognized as one of Ghana's Top 50 Chief Marketing Officers in 2019. Holding an MSc in Marketing from the University of Glamorgan, UK, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in both Ghana and the UK, Anne's versatile career spans telecoms, personal care, and entertainment sectors, as well as experience in Public Relations and Property management. Currently serving as the Marketing Director at the Ghana Climate Innovation Centre (GCIC), Anne is at the forefront of leading strategic branding initiatives for SMEs. Her role involves developing, planning, budgeting, and successfully implementing GCIC’s marketing and communications strategies. Anne's commitment to supporting Ghanaian SMEs is evident through her advocacy for robust and strategically planned brands, emphasizing the importance of meticulously planned, targeted campaigns aligned with regional strategies.


Beyond her professional commitments, Anne is an enthusiastic advocate of culture and the arts. She is the author of 'Intentional Consequences,' featured in 'Accra Noir,' and serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Nubuke Foundation, guiding the visual and cultural institution with her visionary leadership. On her Instagram page, @annesackeymarketing, Anne actively showcases outstanding small and medium-sized businesses, contributing to their visibility, reach, and growth. Her passion for community support is reflected in her efforts to champion local businesses. Anne's extensive career includes roles such as Head of Marketing at MultiChoice Ghana Ltd., where she managed all aspects of the marketing function and brand portfolio, achieving significant growth in acquisition, app adoption, and subscriber onboarding. Her achievements also extend to her role as Marketing Manager for DStv and GOtv, overseeing strategic marketing plans, content marketing, and CSR programs. As a member of the Board of Directors for the Nubuke Foundation, Anne contributes her skills in teamwork, Ghanaian art, culture, public relations, and marketing strategy. Additionally, her involvement with Strong Family Africa as a Board Member showcases her dedication to supporting various initiatives.


Anne has also worked on projects with a global impact, such as her role as a Media and Partnership Engagement Advisor for the USAid Accelerated Social Behavior Change (ASBC) Project. Here, she contributed to increasing the approval of priority health behaviors and applications for better health outcomes. Her role as a Senior Operations Manager at African Futures International involved establishing and implementing organizational goals, improving operating procedures, and managing operations, social media, events, and communications teams.


Anne's career journey began as the Marketing Services Manager at Millicom Ghana Ltd., where she doubled the subscriber base growth through effective marketing campaigns. She later moved on to roles such as PR/Front of House Manager at the National Theatre Ghana and Marketing Manager at Carson Products, Ghana, where she played a pivotal role in setting up the company and achieving the highest Share of Market in the West African hair care industry. Anne's extensive experience, combined with her strategic mindset and commitment to community support, makes her a champion for SME growth and innovation in Ghana. Her journey showcases a consistent track record of spearheading successful marketing, branding, and communications initiatives across diverse industries.
