Nathan Pearcy | Atlanta | Don't Stop Fighting!!

Working for a company that phased out to shut down completely, forced me to look to God for answers on how was I to take care of my family and myself. He showed me my hands... The Same hands I was using everyday to capture images for another business, I used them to manifest my own business you see today, NP Photography.

What were the biggest initial hurdles to building your business and how did you overcome them?

Well losing the steady income of a regular "punch-the-clock" job, I dealt with this suffocating fear clinging to me, like an infant to their mom BUT each day I pushed myself out my comfort zone and began networking with other creators and I started to build a team. Clients from my old employer still wanted me to capture their images and I also began to work with different publications (Krave Magazine, Kontrol Magazine, Period Magazine, Six Twelve Magazine, Sheen Magazine, Empower Magazine)

What books are you currently reading? And your recommendation for entrepreneurs to read?

This may be cliche but I read the Bible everyday, nothing outrageous but its to keep me pushing and maintain the hope and my faith. I encourage all creators to read a Scripture a day and use some time out the day to reflect on what you've read.

Did you ever deal with contention from your family and friends concerning your entrepreneurial pursuits? How did you handle it? What would you do differently in hindsight?

Yes, some wanted me to go out and get a "REAL" job, other kept asking if this is something I "REALLY" wanted to do. My Mother was my BIGGEST Supporter and to be honest as long as she had my back I was FINE! Honestly at times, I did doubt myself but she would constantly encourage me to keep fighting.

What would you say was the single most influential factor in your business success?

FAITH! Its as simple as that, I know God would see me through and get to the place he promised me!

What do you know today that you wish you would have known when you first got started as an entrepreneur?

To always work with people who want to grow!

What advice would you give to an upcoming entrepreneur locally and internationally?

My advice is pretty simple, "Don't STOP Fighting, keep growing and keep pushing yourself"! If there is a day where you feel like giving up, don't." My motto is "As long as I keep taking a each, I will eventually see the light"!
