Permission granted by guardians!!!

At age four, I was a master in playing the recorder. My amazing growing keenness for music prompted my parents to get me a keyboard, and a tutor at age 6. In few weeks, I was consumed with the mastery of playing the keyboard, sight reading and developed an extraordinary sense of tonation. I began to live music; I played in the morning before school, after school, I often wake up in the middle of the night to rehearse musical inspirations, I could play all the cartoon soundtracks I have ever watched with no mistake. I pleaded for a Saxophone from my parents, then I got it as a birthday gift and I miraculously began playing it with a proficient dexterity.

What were the biggest initial hurdles to building your business and how did you overcome them?

The biggest initial hurdle I saw was striking the balance between my love for playing the saxophone and my school work, but I was able to overcome it because my parent had to draw a line, a timetable was drawn and there are days I don’t play the saxophone at all, and they are days I play it, it soon become part of me and very amazing and interesting and in the end I found out that music has made me do even better in my academics

What books are you currently reading? And your recommendation for entrepreneurs to read?

I don’t really read other books apart from my school books, but I take my time to study the lives of music legends especially saxophonist and really study how they play to improve my skills so I will also encourage those that love playing the saxophone to start studying the great ones, it will surely inspire and keep them going.

Did you ever deal with contention from your family and friends concerning your entrepreneurial pursuits? How did you handle it? What would you do differently in hindsight?

No, all I get is love and support from my family especially my parent who even go all the way to pay my tutors and get me expensive instruments as soon as I desire it, Although, some people feel, am learning too fast for my age but, as for me as along I have my parent’s backing, am good.

What would you say was the single most influential factor in your business success?

It is God, and I think my parent is sensitive enough to identify my passion for art especially music at a very tender age and they helped me develop it. I owe it up to God and my parent.

What do you know today that you wish you would have known when you first got started as an entrepreneur?

Nothing really but I see every day as an opportunity to learn more and improve on my craft, don’t forget I’m still growing, just a boy of just 9 years old.

What advice would you give to an upcoming entrepreneur locally and internationally?

When it comes to music, there is no shortcut, it’s rehearsals, rehearsals and rehearsals, the more you play, the better you become, follow your dreams, don’t get pissed and discouraged, be willing to learn at all times and nothing works like hard work, and finally trust God to bring out the best in you.

Music Is NEXT!!
