What were the biggest initial hurdles to building your business and how did you overcome them?
It is never smooth when you start a business!! We started from scratch and we do everything by ourselves! So if you spend a day with us you learn that we do everything from graphics designing, writing articles for press, a beauty advisor for our clients, sending thousand requests to bloggers, write exclusivity contracts, being aware of the legislation, negotiating the prices with the distributors, sending deliveries, look for the new trends, think about the next lines and much more.
Did you ever deal with contention from your family and friends concerning your entrepreneurial pursuits?
How did you handle it? What would you do differently in hindsight?
We also had a lot of contention from our family and that was not easier. But you know as an expat the distance is not always so easy - meaning away from home does not help.
What would you say was the single most influential factor in your business success?
Passion & determination. We never gave up and the relation or partnership that you create is unconditional - Liking people and being open minded.
What advice would you give to an upcoming young and old entrepreneur locally and internationally?
