A celebrated TV personality, journalist, brand activist, and youth development advocate, Sidra has carved out an impressive career across media, diplomacy, and social impact. Her journey into the spotlight began when she became the first Pakistani to win the prestigious English-Speaking Union’s International Public Speaking Championship in London. She received her award from none other than HRH Prince Philip at Buckingham Palace, setting the stage for a career committed to making voices heard and causes elevated. From an early age, Sidra was driven by her desire to champion youth engagement and public service. As a Youth Ambassador, she represented Pakistan on international stages, contributing her insights at numerous youth forums across the globe. Her multifaceted career took off as she joined forces with top organizations like the British Council, ARY, and Ogilvy & Mather. Her thirst for learning even led her to the International Relations Summer Programme at Oxford University on a full scholarship, sharpening her diplomatic and global communication skills. Sidra’s career in broadcast journalism quickly gained traction. Her role as a Television Presenter at Aaj TV, where she hosts the popular morning show "Aaj Pakistan," made her a household name. Known for her warm, articulate, and insightful approach, Sidra engages viewers across Pakistan in meaningful dialogue, whether through tackling social issues, covering current events, or sharing stories of everyday heroes. Her work embodies her commitment to impact-driven storytelling that resonates deeply with audiences.


Beyond her work on TV, Sidra has made waves as a consultant and leader in public relations. As the Lead Consultant and Curator at Raabta, a public diplomacy forum with Serena Hotels, she fosters powerful discussions on topics that impact communities. This role is a testament to her ability to bring people together, bridge ideas, and highlight underrepresented voices. Sidra’s career further flourished as a Media Anchorperson at Pakistan Television Corporation, where she honed her skills in social media marketing and public relations, enabling her to connect with diverse demographics and inspire informed public discourse.


Her influence spans beyond Pakistan, as she has contributed to global studies and forums, such as UNESCO’s 2015 study on fostering inclusive knowledge societies. Sidra also became a Global Fellow with ICANN, focusing on Internet governance and transparency, reinforcing her belief in accessible knowledge and accountable information networks. Her advocacy extended to the UAE, where she served as Youth Advisor to the Ministry of Education for their Women as Global Leaders program, and she was awarded the GR8 Women Award for Journalism in 2014 by the Government of UAE and the Indian Television Academy for her advocacy in Dubai.


Sidra is also a Goodwill Ambassador for several impactful organizations in Pakistan, such as the Karachi Down Syndrome Program, The Citizens Foundation (TCF), and the Indus Hospitals and Health Network. Her commitment to healthcare, education, and inclusion initiatives continues to inspire young people to get involved and make a difference.
