My name is Sandra, I live in a northern community in British Columbia, Canada. I manage a restaurant full time, but I was always searching for more. I’d spent most of my life dealing with bad mental health issues, and I began to research alternative means of healing besides pharmaceutical help. I came across hypnotherapy, and it changed my life! I finally realized the importance of getting to the real root cause of depression, anxiety etc. I was able to heal myself with tremendous success through this modality. I knew that I had to help others in this way! While I still manage a restaurant, I am helping people on the side.
What were the biggest initial hurdles and how did you overcome them?
My biggest initial hurdles were finding the confidence to dive full force into my practice. Once I got my first handful of clients, I realized that I truly was meant to do what I’m doing, and so my confidence skyrocketed!
What books are you currently reading?
One book that I am currently reading is “Humanity’s Greatest Sin: Religion” by Ed Rychkun. Religion is a touchy subject, but this book touches on our innate ability to self heal rather than always searching outside for ways to be enlightened. It’s an amazing book and I would recommend it to anyone!
What do you know today that you wish you would have known when you first got started?
One thing that I know today, that I wish I knew when I first started is the fact that intuition plays a large roll in leading a successful session. Intuition also helps me in my current management role. I wish I had thought to utilize this natural ability more to help myself and others.
What advice would you give to an upcoming youth or talents locally and internationally?
Some advice that I would give to anyone is never ever give up. I’ve been through thoughts of suicide before, and I’m super passionate about ending the stigma surrounding mental health! There’s ALWAYS an end to everything whether it’s good or bad.
