Samantha Moonsammy is a name that resonates with the essence of leadership, creativity, and an unyielding passion for building inclusive communities. As a DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) executive and the co-founder of Lucky Book Publishing, Samantha is shaping the future of publishing by helping aspiring authors transform their ideas into bestsellers. But her work goes far beyond books—she is a trailblazer in creating spaces where diverse voices are not just heard but celebrated. Her journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Samantha's brilliance shines through her creation of the Lifting as You Lead Mentoring Circles (LLMC) program, a groundbreaking initiative in the Government of Canada. Launching with over 300 participants from more than 36 departments, agencies, and crown corporations, LLMC is transforming the public service by fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. This visionary program is more than just mentorship—it’s a movement that empowers individuals to lift each other as they rise, creating a ripple effect of positive change. In her role as Section Head of Diversity and Inclusion at National Defence, Samantha leads with a clear vision. She ensures that the workplace inclusion strategy is not just a document but a lived experience for employees at all levels. From organizing monthly "Ask Me Anything" events to launching large-scale initiatives, Samantha is the force behind creating an equitable culture in the Materiel Group.

Samantha’s leadership extends to her previous role as Senior Advisor at the Canadian Coast Guard, where she spearheaded national events like the Power of Inclusion Symposium and National Town Hall. She also led the Ask Me Anything speaker series, bringing together voices from across the government to share their stories and build a more resilient, inclusive community. Her work earned her the 2019 Prix d’Excellence for the Positive Space Initiative Ambassador Program.

Beyond her roles in public service, Samantha is also a dynamic keynote speaker, business coach, and active philanthropist. She supports economic empowerment for women in business, youth empowerment projects, and the arts in Ottawa and globally. Her passion for helping others achieve their dreams is evident in her work at Lucky Book Publishing, where she helps authors capture the hearts and minds of their readers.

From organizing festivals and charitable events to leading communications strategies at the Privy Council Office, Samantha’s career is a testament to her expertise in event management, marketing, and strategic communications. She’s not just a leader; she’s a builder of bridges, a creator of opportunities, and a champion of inclusivity.

Through it all, Samantha remains driven by a simple yet powerful belief: representation matters. She’s committed to making sure that every voice is heard and that everyone has a seat at the table. Whether she’s mentoring the next generation of leaders or helping an author bring their story to life, Samantha Moonsammy is changing the world, one inspiring moment at a time.
