She embarked on her professional adventure with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services & Social Service Work from Tyndale University and later earned a Master’s Degree in Community and Clinical Mental Health Counselling from the University of Detroit Mercy. Her academic prowess was just the beginning of a career dedicated to healing and transformation. Nave's early days were spent as a Clinical Student Counsellor, where she tackled an array of challenges, from career guidance to complex substance abuse evaluations. Her hands-on approach and unyielding compassion quickly set her apart. This initial experience laid a strong foundation for her subsequent roles. At Family Service Thames Valley, Nave's skills flourished as she provided therapy for individuals, couples, and families grappling with emotional turmoil and trauma. Her ability to blend empathy with strategic intervention highlighted her versatility and deep understanding of mental health.


A transformative chapter unfolded at Huronia Transition Homes, where Nave supported women facing the harsh realities of violence and trauma. Here, she was not just a therapist but an advocate and a beacon of empowerment, working tirelessly to provide support and develop actionable goals for her clients.


Nave’s impact soared to new heights at Cedar Centre as a Child, Youth, and Family Therapist. She skillfully integrated various therapeutic modalities, creating customized treatment plans that resonated with young clients and their families. Her role was crucial in offering ongoing, personalized support and fostering resilience.


In November 2020, Nave launched Hear to Heal Counselling Services, a venture that marks a significant milestone in her career. As the proud owner and lead psychotherapist, she combines her expertise in Trauma-Informed and Somatic Experiencing Therapy to deliver holistic care. Her therapeutic approach is a dynamic blend of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Attachment Theory, tailored to each client’s unique needs.
