Kendria Godair always had an entrepreneurial spirit, but it wasn’t until a trip to New York City that the seed of her future empire, Dria Dair, was planted. It started with a simple moment—spotting a stylish skirt in a store window and being told she couldn’t buy it unless she bought in bulk. That moment didn’t just fuel her frustration; it sparked a bold idea. “Why not buy 10 and sell the rest?” Kendria thought. And with that spark, her journey in fashion began. Fast forward to today, and Kendria is not only the founder of Dria Dair, but she’s also making waves with her nonprofit initiative, A Human Mission, focused on clothing those in need. From go-go dancing in North Carolina to launching a fashion brand that blends comfort and style, Kendria's story is one of constant evolution, fueled by creativity, risk-taking, and an unyielding belief in her vision. Starting her business wasn’t easy. Kendria faced the challenges all entrepreneurs know too well—trying to balance the demands of being a single parent, figuring out her target audience, and battling the ever-present imposter syndrome. But through every obstacle, she learned to pivot. Whether it was relocating from her small-town store to the thriving fashion community of Phoenix, Arizona, or transitioning from brick-and-mortar to e-commerce during the pandemic, Kendria knew one thing—success requires adaptation. In 2020, COVID-19 forced her to close her store temporarily, but it also gave her time to reflect.

Was she happy with where she was heading? Was it time for a change? Inspired by her love for the Arizona desert and a desire for a fresh start, Kendria took a leap of faith, uprooting her family and business from North Carolina to Phoenix. It was a risk—moving to an unknown city and starting over. But that bold decision proved to be one of the best moves she ever made.

Under the desert sun, Kendria found a renewed sense of purpose, expanding Dria Dair with even more focus on quality and comfort. She pivoted her brand to cater to women who wanted both style and practicality—gym clothes, runway fashion, and everything in between. Her clothes became a reflection of her own journey: evolving, resilient, and always pushing boundaries.

But Dria Dair isn’t just about fashion. Kendria’s heart lies in giving back. Through A Human Mission, she’s providing clothing to those in need, creating a legacy that goes beyond just profit. She knows that true fulfillment comes from what you do for others, not just what you achieve for yourself. Her charity efforts, clothing drives, and commitment to uplifting her community showcase her vision of fashion with a purpose.

Kendria’s journey has been marked by the risks she’s taken—from her early days running a go-go dancing company to leaving everything behind and starting anew in Phoenix. Along the way, she’s leaned on business podcasts and motivational figures like Gary Vee and Tony Robbins, but she’s also drawn strength from a few close friends who encouraged her when times were tough.

And as any entrepreneur knows, not everyone will believe in your vision. Kendria learned that sometimes, the people closest to you won’t be your biggest supporters. But she never let that stop her. Instead, she surrounded herself with dreamers, creatives, and fellow entrepreneurs who understood her journey.

Her story isn’t just about building a business—it’s about building a life on her own terms. She embraced every pivot, every challenge, and every opportunity for growth. Today, Dria Dair stands as a testament to Kendria’s belief in the power of taking risks, and A Human Mission serves as a reminder that success is measured not just by what you gain, but by what you give back.

For young readers and aspiring entrepreneurs, Kendria’s journey is a story of resilience, creativity, and never being afraid to take that leap. It’s about knowing that life’s biggest rewards often come from its biggest risks—and that, with passion and perseverance, the possibilities are endless.
