Hello Francisco Koffi is my name, and I am a Ghanaian based photographer. My journey so far has been an amazing one. I mean I fell in love with photography since childhood, when I was about 15 years old; btw I am still in school. Photography is a whole new world for me. That’s my peace (happy place), joy, my ability to create stories through pictures. I believe that I have the ability as a photographer to make things still in motion and that’s quite more like magic to me. Creating memories and flashbacks is just so amazing.
What were the biggest initial hurdles and how did you overcome them?
I faced a lot of challenges in the beginning, I mean being able to take a picture does not just give you the opportunity for people to give you a task or job. Instead it takes a lot of building a portfolio as strong as when people are able to trust you with a project. And that took quite a long time for me. Alongside this, I took the opportunity to learn how to become better at my craft. I never gave up. I alway believed that I had the ability in me that always drove me to do more.
Your advice to an upcoming youth or talents locally and internationally?
My advice to young people out there is that, you should always know what drives you the most, work towards it, always keep learning how to be better, and never give up. Believe in yourself!
