In the vibrant heart of Atomic Barracks, Accra, Ghana, a young girl named Faustina Boamah grew up surrounded by the buzz of ambition and hard work. Her family’s relentless pursuit of excellence ignited a fire within her, guiding her on a path that would transform countless lives. Faustina’s journey began with a love for literature, exploring poetry and spoken word at Nkawkaw Senior High School. Yet, her family's nudge toward nursing unveiled a calling she couldn’t ignore. It was at Holy Family Hospital-Nkawkaw, assisting a young woman in her care, where Faustina’s passion for midwifery truly took flight. Witnessing her patient’s health and spirits lift was an eye-opening experience that cemented her path. With a diploma in Midwifery from the Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Atibie-Kwahu, and a Registered Midwife certificate from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Faustina’s career began with a mission: to empower and educate. Her early days were marked by visits to children’s homes, where she distributed sanitary pads and spread awareness, sowing seeds of change in rural communities.

In 2021, Faustina’s impact soared as she teamed up with Braveconnectgh and Sincerely Pads for the End Period Poverty Project, distributing over 1,000 sanitary pads to girls in Minya.

This initiative wasn’t just about providing supplies—it was about igniting hope and fostering confidence.

Faustina’s commitment to women’s health extended into the digital realm, where she began sharing her knowledge on menstrual health, sexual and reproductive wellness, and mental health through social media.

Her dedication didn’t go unnoticed. Faustina became a prominent voice in health education, gracing platforms like JOY News, GHONE, and ADOM TV. Her work earned her the LIMA Outstanding Female Humanitarian award and accolades from organizations such as Sahara Group and Menta Pulse Africa.

Faustina’s Midwife Fausty Foundation has trained over 1,000 young girls and women, empowering them with the knowledge and resources to manage their health confidently. Her contributions are not just numbers—they’re lives transformed, communities uplifted, and a future made brighter.

Through her journey, Faustina has embodied empathy, resilience, and integrity, becoming a beacon of hope and change. Her story is a testament to the power of passion and perseverance, showing that with hard work, dedication, and a touch of divine guidance, one can make a monumental impact on the world.
