Eric Agyemang, is the Founder & Managing Partner of Maple Bridge Ventures, a venture capital firm with a mission to invest in game-changing immigrant founders, harnessing Canada's immense potential to fuel the next wave of global innovation. Before venturing into the world of entrepreneurship, Eric spent nearly a decade at Export Development Canada (EDC), where he played a pivotal role in assisting Canadian companies, with revenues of up to $100 million, in expanding their businesses globally. His expertise extended to facilitating major international M&A transactions and forging strategic partnerships with Canada's leading innovation centers, startup accelerators, and networks.
Eric's dedication and contributions have been widely recognized through various honors and awards, including the Young Achiever’s Award from the Telfer School of Management and the Award of Excellence for Community Service from the University of Ottawa Alumni Association.
His educational journey is equally impressive, with certifications and degrees from prestigious institutions such as the University of Cambridge, Queen's University, University of Ottawa, and Algonquin College. His academic pursuits reflect his commitment to sustainable finance, social impact, and business administration.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Eric is deeply involved in community service and leadership roles. He has served as the President of the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO), providing strategic direction and support to one of the largest immigrant-focused non-profit organizations in the province. His passion for empowering immigrant communities extends to his role as a Member of the Board of Directors for OCISO.
