Meet Berlinda Addardey, widely known as Berla Mundi, was born on April 1, 1988, and has become a prominent Ghanaian media personality, women's advocate, and voice artist. In 2019, she co-hosted the 20th VGMA alongside Kwami Sefa Kayi. Berla holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Linguistics, and English from the University of Ghana and a master's degree in Public Relations/Image Management from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. She has received a Harvard Business School Executive Education Certificate in Developing Yourself as a Leader.


Berla is an alumna of St. Theresa's School, Achimota School, and the University of Ghana, where she studied linguistics and psychology for her first degree. She furthered her studies in French at Alliance Francais and attended the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Berla Mundi is not just a media personality; she is a leader, advocate, and mentor dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of young women in Ghana and beyond.


Berla Mundi entered the media scene after securing the second runner-up position at the 2010 Miss Malaika beauty pageant. She worked with GHOne TV, a subsidiary of the EIB Network, for five years and is currently with TV3 Ghana, a subsidiary of Media General Ghana Limited.


Berla has hosted reality shows, corporate events, and even Africa's first syndicated show on DSTV, "Moment with MO." Recognized as the most influential Ghanaian in 2017 by Avance Media, she won The Most Stylish Media Personality at the Glitz Style Awards in 2017.


Apart from her media career, Berla is a vocal advocate for girls' and women's rights. She launched a mentoring and career guidance project in 2018, providing skills training to young women. In 2015, she established the Berla Mundi Foundation and later introduced the B.You project.


B.You: Berla initiated the B.You project, a mentorship and career guidance program for young women. The project, started six years ago, focuses on instilling confidence, discipline, and an entrepreneurial spirit in participants. It provides educational scholarships and internship opportunities to young women, aiming to make informed decisions about their lives and careers.


Despite facing challenges, including financial constraints and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Berla has persevered and successfully organized conferences to bring young women together. Berla Mundi's impact extends beyond Ghana, as she has collaborated with international organizations such as Samsung and the Global Citizen Festival.
