There’s nothing wrong with striving to be your best self. I don’t know what you are going through momentarily, but I’m led to introduce to you my Jehovah God, I believe he will meet you through this difficult or unique time. I believe learning about different religions often helps me to become more understanding and more respectful of people who hold beliefs that differ from mine. Ultimately, we need to accept that we’re all entitled to our own spiritual beliefs. Although spirituality and religion are two different things, they both can inspire some heated debates. My name is Bernard Nii Addo. I am currently based in Ohio, USA. I am a Ghanaian songwriter, a Christian music producer and humanitarian. I am the founder of Nii Addo Ministries, a Christian music group. I was born and raised in Labadi, the capital city of Ghana. I had my basic and high school education both in Accra. Not only did I participate in many entertainment events that took place in my school growing up, but I also tasked myself with organizing different genres of concerts for the students and different ministries. My carefree spirit and compassionate heart made me very likable. My hard-work, lyrics and stage presence coupled with my energy comes to define my journey. Also, my songs and content are a blend of my culture (African rhythm) infused with rhythm I picked along the way, traveling overseas. My role as a music leader is to write songs, research locations, prepare production budgets, organize cast and crews.

What were the biggest initial hurdles and how did you overcome them?
One of the hurdles I faced in the beginning when I first started, was finding balance (full time work, time management, family etc.) against my travel schedule. However, I am so grateful to have my support system – friends, family, team etc.
What advice would you give to an upcoming youth or talents locally and internationally? My advice to the youth is be compassionate and demonstrate God’s goodness through giving, showing up etc. Surround yourself with people who inspire. I also believe if you love playing the guitar or love rapping or love producing music don’t worry about driving a nice car, having nice clothes, or a nice place to live. Just concentrate on doing what you love, and the good stuff will come.
