At age 23, I would say I’m proud of my journey academically and career wise. In 2017, I began my on-air (radio) journey whilst pursuing my first degree in information studies and philosophy in the University of Ghana, Legon. Hosting a 15 minute segment on entertainment, I gradually built a small niche of social media audience. Then in January 2019, I awoke my entrepreneurial spirit by starting a business or startup to help boost the brands of young entrepreneurs and entertainers (www.ent-hub.com). EntHub so far has had over 5 successful events and workshops that contributed massively to most small businesses in Accra. I switched from radio to television in 2019, GtvSports plus, where I currently host the best sports breakfast show in the country. Finally graduating from University of Ghana in 2020, I decided to pursue Law, where I’m now currently in my second year. I simultaneously pursued my first degree and on air career.
What were the biggest initial hurdles and how did you overcome them?
Over the years, I’ve had to overcome tons of challenges most regarding my age and gender as well as how ambitious I am. But, I believe greatness knows no age or gender. It is something that we are all born with. Combining work and school has never been easy but trust me, it is worth it. Especially if it is to pursue something you’re passionate about. I believe in putting in extra effort and maximizing our time here on earth.
What books are you currently reading? I’m currently reading 48 laws of power by Robert Greene, as well as tons of law school material
What advice would you give to an upcoming youth or talents locally and internationally? I’d like to advise young talents to believe in their art and capabilities. Pursue their dreams with utmost confidence. Never be afraid to go for the best, because you deserve it. However, it’s advisable to be humble, learn from other successful people and try to emulate their values.
